Where did Ridgewalker even mention President Bush? Where are you pulling this from? Oh wait...I just glanced at your profile...you're not just a liberal, you're a California liberal. Now I understand your (lack of) rationale.

Huckleberry brings up a good point. Back when Bush was popular, oh circa 2003/2004, being critical of him, the war in Iraq, or any of his policies was considered anti-American, especially by those on the fringe right. Remember country music fans burning Dixie Chicks albums because they regretted being from the same state as Bush? Nowadays, the same people praise those who anti-Obama as heroes and freedom fighters.

Oh and here's a tip for those who wish to recruit more people into the anti-Obama brigade. Sticking to the issues and not resorting to name calling and conspiracy theories might be a more effective way of getting your point across. Anyone who makes some sort of sarcastic "messiah" comment or thinks "Nobama" is some sort of clever pun automatically loses any credibility in my book. Oh and discussing politics on political forums might be an improvement too.

You can't be serious! Have you taken a trip to the politics section of this site lately? Name calling was invented by your team.

Go see for yourself! Post a anti Nobama message and watch the name calling begin!

So you come to a non-politics forum to spout your political views just to get away from that?

What does a diatribe against the president, any president, have to do with life in St Louis, for people coming to this forum for info on the place?

Oh wow you are really grasping at straws now. Your rebuttal: "THEY STARTED IT!!!" No I don't visit the politics section of this forum or any other large forum, they are troll breeding grounds - as evidenced by this thread.

Which is why if I want to discuss politics I do it in person. People tend to be more respectful and civil, especially if you don't insult them for having their views.

All you're doing by calling the president names (including B Hussein O) is labeling yourself and calling yourself an ignoramus. We know the point you are trying to make by emphasizing his middle name. Why not come up with more constructive, thought-out criticism?

As for the game, I shame those that booed at the president last night, whether it be for being against his policies, or be it for the fact that he wore a White Sox sweater. Are we not allowed to support other teams, especially when we are from another city? Is he supposed to drop his allegiance to the White Sox because he is visiting St. Louis? The 2009 All-Star Game was a celebration of baseball's best, not of the Cardinals or St. Louis.

For those that booed him because they are against his policies, silence would have been far more effective than booing. I would be excited and honored to be in the same building as any American president, and if I were against his/her policies, at worst I would stand silently or clap unenthusiastically.

Those that booed are a disgrace to the American tradition, obviously they have no faith in the democratic system that our forefathers laid down. Mr. Obama won the 2008 presidential election by getting a majority of votes. Obviously the majority of people thought he was the better choice last November 4th. Those with dissenting opinions will get their chance again in 2012.

Booing anybody, whether it be in sports or politics, is the ultimate show of unsportsmanlike conduct.
