Hi

Does St. Charles have any noise problems caused by aircraft taking off and landing at the adjacent airports?

I've never encountered any problems, but I do not live there. My brother works close to the area and he said that he has never had a problem. Living there might be different, but I imagine it's far enough away. Hope this helps!

I used to live in the Fox Hill neighborhood in St Charles, which is close to New Town (370 and Elm). Sometimes it would sound like the planes were landing in our living room. Honestly, it didnt bother me too much.

This is one of those responses that is very worrying.

The noise level equivalent to a plane landing in my living room is something that we wont live with.

I know New Town is a little north of St Charles and more in line with the airport runway but its not so far away that I'm willing to ignore it.

Does anyone who actually lives in SC now have a comment please as this could be a real showstopper for us?

This was only one area of St Charles, I doubt the noise is bothersome in the Old Town area or the south side.
