I am getting married next May and I am looking for a rustic reception place like a barn. We are planning on getting married at the conservatory in St. Charles so anywhere close to there would be nice, although at this point I really don't care. I can't find anything! Thanks!!

Since no one has commented on this, I'll throw in my two cents. I get the general impression that not too many people request a rustic scene for their wedding. Not knocking your plans, just saying that there aren't many farmers looking to rent out their barns for receptions. What I would do if I were you is take a trip around the area for barns or rustic scenes you like and then approach the owners about renting it. It would let you go straight to the source.

My sister was married at a Hudson River Winery., one of the nicest weddings I have ever been to.
I'm sure the local wineries may be able to offer a rustic setting.

I don't know if they DO such a thing (rent out for / run events), but Centennial Farms has a fantastic super rustic farm setting, barn, and location in the center of Augusta: Centennial Farms Very charming!!

I would recommend a drive down 94 to check it out and also some of the wineries and sites: Washington Visitor Info - Wineries and Vineyards . There is a lot along the way and you may find what you are looking for. I agree with DInsdale, the wineries would probably be more equipped, however, to manage and cater a wedding...
