I dont know st. louis that well I do live close to st. louis

College or High school? Private or public school? Are your parents relocating here?

Daycare - CAll a local Resource and Referal they can send you a list of people who are licensed daycare and you can call and ask for rates. If you live near me I would be happy to help you. I have a home daycare.

Smile dangerous?

Check out the posts just a few below yours. I think you'll find an answer to that "dangerous city" issue. Don't worry. It's not as bad as all that. I'd suggest reading all the interesting topics in this forum re: St Louis. I think you'll find your questions answered.

Creative,
Please take into consideration that St. Louis might be rated high on the crime list.. but the "city" is only like 60sq miles. That's tiny..
So in comparision to cities like Chicago, or New York we are are very small in compairison.
I have lived in Saint Louis (the county) all my life. It's just like every other town, there are good and not so good parts.
Decent areas (to me) are Affton, Sunset Hills, Crestwood, Brentwood, Webster (parts), and Oakville.
Lemay, Maplewood, Rockhill, Richmond Heights, Bayless, Mehlville are okay. You can find cheaper housing in these areas.
If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me

For Daycare prices you will just need to get a list of daycares in the area in which you will go to school / work and live .. you can get the list of providers from the Childcare Resource and Referal Agency. The college you plan to go to may have child care services. There are also agencys to help pay for daycare.

A rough estimate for a 2 year old in the St. Louis are for childcare for full time M-F all day I am going to say expect to pay about $150.00 a week this will include meals and snacks.
If you are a full time student you maybe eligable for child care assistance through a state agency...
I use to work in St. Louis I am not in St. Louis but a good drive away.
