Excellent, have a nice visit, and if you still have time, try these two items as well:

Welcome to Schlafly Cyberspace

(VASTLY better beer than ABInBev products, and still St. Louis-owned and operated)

Rigazzi's Restaurant-Italian and American Cuisine (http://www.saucemagazine.com/rigazzis/ - broken link)

Rigazzi's - one of the best on the Hill - good Blues vibe there.

Mike Emerson of Pappy's and Skip Steele of Super Smokers are friends and compete with each other in BBQ events and contests.

Pappy's is easily one of my favorite Stl restaurants. Food, service, value, fun.

Original poster you can catch a Blues game just about any restaurant or bar that has tv's. You won't need to go to a sports bar for that.

Pappy's is excellent. There is something about standing in a line that spans the restaurant for 30 minutes that makes it seem cool to me. Some would complain about it, but it's just part of the experience. Pappy's was on "Man vs. Food" on the Food network (I think it's the Food network), where I would say it got a lot of his notoriety (although it was already popular, considering it just opened in 2008).

Some other places to consider - Syberg's downtown. It's in a hotel and not in the most cosmopolitan area, but their famous Chicken Strip Sandwich is amazing. They don't use a hot sauce, they use their own sauce that is delicious.

If you want to get out and see some other neighborhoods, visit Dogtown and go to Seamus McDaniel's, or eat some fried chicken at Pat's Bar & Grill on Oakland Ave, right across I-64 from the St Louis Zoo.
