And as usual the accuracy of your facts are wrong.

The Kansas City Chiefs blacked out their game today due to not enough ticket sales. Previously this season the Chiefs were given extensions to try to sell enough tickets to prevent blackouts.
Nothing in your post here has anything to do with this thread. You have had a similar problem in multiple other threads on related topics. Here, let me help you.

1). Discussing economic viability for local sports teams would be on topic in this thread.

2) Discussing the Denver home loss to the Oakland Raiders this weekend would be off topic.

Denver looked as bad as St. Louis last week!

FishTacos - don't take it so hard, playa - the Shams are not economically viable enough to avoid getting smacked again by castoff Kurt Warner and the 2009 NFC West Champion Arizona Cardnials. Being favored by 15 is insulting to the Cardinals.

31-10 OWNED! We just left a party in Tempe laughing our asses off at the Lambs. What a sorry-ass franchise. I thank God that I don't live there anymore.

Says the guy whose user name is "STL4eva". And what does the performance of one sports franchise have to do with not wanting to live in a particular place? In that case you should probably move since the Coyotes and D'backs aren't exactly stellar sports franchises.

On second thought why do I even bother...

Thread topic. Why did Arizona have a problem with blackouts this year and last year for local fans? Yep, a team who makes the Super Bowl and has a better season the next year, struggles to fill up its stadium just as they have for the past 20 years, ...only now its a shiny new stadium and a more competitive team, but struggling fan support remains the same.

Stl4eva has never once posted in any Arizona forum on this site. 100% of the 100 or so posts are right here in this forum.

Some can laugh at the current play of the Rams, others can laugh at the Footbal Cardinals history since moving to Phoenix.

I was thinking in terms of methodology there are issues. For one the cost of living issue is bound to creep in since it seems to assume equal costs for all areas. Another is it assumes every metro has the same sports culture and willingness to spend a larger portion of a budget on sports. A third that may in select cases be support for collegiate level sports might alter results.

Some trends that show up is any market has a large number of people from other cities tends to do worse in sports support than would otherwise indicate.

The Cards also are a bit of an outlier due to having a large amount of support outside of its own metro and has a large number of out of towners visiting to see them. I am thinking what other pro sports franchises tend to have this happen where fan support in dollars comes from outside its own metro and/or 150 mile radius?
