The private schools yes but the public schools no. It's not because of the snowy streets, it's because of the fridged temps and wind chills. They don't want the kids to have to wait outside for the bus.

pffffffffttttttttttttt... bunch of wooses. Heck, back in my days, we'd stand there, no shoes, no coat, nothing but trousers & a ragged old hand-me-down flea-bitten sweater. No gloves or stockings neither. Nawww, we was tough. Standing there, not even huddling - that was for wimps. Wind chills, ha! We called 'em wind freezings. They'd be so cold, noses would fall right off our faces. Closing school to protect these little precious baby tykes... good grief. Wimps!!! And what is this contraption you speak of - "buses"?!!? Oh bother - what, they can't walk, in the snow, up hill, both ways, 12 miles, in this supposed "cold"

Thursday I could understand, even though my work didn't shut down I took the day off to hang with the kids. But then yesterday I thought they were being a little too sensitive. None of the schools that remained open seemed to have any problems getting through the day. oh well.
