Clayton is the most expensive city/suburb in terms of housing price per square foot and also has the best public school district. Ladue has the second best, Parkway is third. Webster and Kirkwood are also good. If you have the money, live in the Central West End and send your kids to private schools or you can pay for them to go to Clayton. I would personally NOT live west of 270.. SNORRR...

That's right. Creve Coeur Park. Historic St. Charles. Katy Trail. Breweries and Wineries. Lake St. Louis. Hidden Valley.

Absolutely nothing to do west of I-270. Unless you're a sedentary sloth.....

Creve Coeur Park? I'd take Forest Park in a second. Historic St. Charles? I'd take SOulard, Lafayette Square, Downtown, Benton Park, Central West End easily. Breweries? I'd take AB over anything out "there". Wineries, you have me beat! no city wineries.. Lake St. Louis? meeh.. Hidden Valley? yes!! Katy Trail? Very cool but the Riverfront Trail has it easily beaten.. either way, lots of options in this region!
