Does anyone happen to know the estimated salary scale for Catholic School teachers in the STL Diocese? I currently am teaching in a Diocese that is paying me only 28,000 and I am in my 9th year of teaching. Does STL Diocese pay more than that? Thanks to anyone who knows this answer and can share it with me. I emailed the Diocese and their response was that they did not have a salary scale agreed upon for next year. Well, I just wanted them to tell me what it was for this current year. Any help is appreciated. I am interested in the STL area, but only if the pay is better than here. Thank you.

Sorry, I don't know that info. I would email them back and ask for the current scale.

Not sure what pay is in the St. Louis area. My wife taught high school mathematics in Kansas City, and starting pay was around 30,000 her first year, and i believe 31-32k her second. I'd imagine that pay wouldn't be much higher than that in St. Louis. Are you teaching High School, or Grade school?

I am teaching high school. Well, if STL is in the neighborhood with KC as far as pay goes, then it is better than the diocese I am in right now. I am in year 9 and only making 28,000. Anyone know if STL and KC are similar in Catholic school pay?

Most of the Catholic high schools in St. Louis are private. There are only a few Archdiocesan high schools. The private scale may be very different from the Archdiocese and even from school to school.

That is good information about the private ones. Thank you.
