I've recently added this type of magnesium to my diet. I've been taking 300 mg every evening and I've been sleeping like a baby. Recently I've been struggling with insomnia and I've tried a bunch of different supplements but this particular one seems to be doing the trick. Melatonin sort of worked but not nearly this effectively. Anyone else on here see similar results taking Magnesium?

I started taking extra magnesium (400 mg per day) to address some arrhythmia but haven't noticed any changes in sleep. I had occasional insomnia before, and still do now. Not so much it is a concern. Yes, I realize different formulations probably play into it. Take it for what it's worth...personal anecdote.

Yes, mag. glycinate is recommended for sleep issues. In the past I have taken it at bedtime with good results.

Magnesium can be complexed in different forms and will work slightly differently, such as magnesium threonate for the brain, or mag. citrate for kidneys.

Indeed I had to do a lot of research to find the right kind of magnesium. Initially I was buying Magnesium oxide not knowing they sold different kinds some products also sell diluted glycinate. Overall I'm glad I added this to my supplement regimen.
