Clark's update... went for lunch today. Sandwich is still piled high and juicy; there are condiment stations of their own and there was horseradish and mustard at my table. Not entirely certain I get the freakout over the bread change - it's a good roll, made by a local bakery (IIRC the onion rolls they used to use were foodservice stuff, not that exciting!). They had a beef stew on today as well that was decent, not exciting.

Default beer glass is... small. On the other hand, cheap (had Southern Tier's seasonal, $2.75), and makes a decent lunch break size. Place is about double the size of the original. I think the arrangement is going to still cause them problems in high volume but it's not bad. They had a brief lunch rush right around noon but it wasn't tough to get in and out, and takeaway has its own line.

So, outside of the bread change, would you say that it is about the same?

The menu has more than just a sandwich on it (barely) and the smaller beer pours is different - but the other things that made it unique are all in place.

What the......? What is the point of doing that to the website? Green Star Coop Market in Ithaca had someone do the same thing a couple of years ago. I don't get it....

He probably didn't pay the bill while he was closed and someone bought it. He will probably have to pay more to get it back. The least they could do is take the link off their Facebook page. The FB page has some interesting feedback from customers.

Yeah, it happened while it was closed, probably a year or two ago now.

Menu, to the best of my recollection: beef sandwich, beef stew, a garden salad, the cheese plates from before, and coleslaw are it.

They also have wine, which I don't recall before.

Other key difference is they are no longer cash only.
