Water is ungawdly expensive here.

Yeah- that $42 every 3 months really kills the household budget.

WOW!!

In Oneida living alone mine runs 80 bucks every three. When the family was here figger 200+.

When I would water seeding 300-400 bills were the norm.

Thats all quarterly.

To get that 80 dollar number I have to watch every drop.

That's crazy. That $42 is for a family of 5 and many visitors. Our water is through OCWA.

Oneida has its own system.

Its good water and all the volume you could want.

Its just SUPER expensive. Prolly has something to do with that damm casino but I am not saying that as a fact.

It looks like Oneida charges its customers for sewage... whereas OCWA includes it. Sewage is a given - lol - since water going in has to come out as well. haha- that's some kind of way to double charge, isn't it? Sewage is almost as much as, or MORE, than the water. Yikes.

And we have no sewage meter.

So sewage is based on the water meter.

So wash your car or water your lawn and guess what??

Ouch.

I have never watered grass. It's grass. The next rain will spruce it up, if there's been a drought. (That doesn't happen often anyway... one of the perks of living in CNY.) I don't care to waste water on what amounts to, for me, lawn-vanity. lol - then again, I tend to wash the car in the pouring rain because I hate lugging the hose out. In this old house, the pipe is INSIDE the garage... because of a thousand additions over the years. haha - and it leaks so we have to put a bucket under it or it would flood the house.

I need to fix that. But that requires pipe-cutting and welding skills, which Daddy has to teach me how to do... he's a busy guy so for now, the bucket works. haha

Sean, you can usually print out a day pass to BJs on their website. You don't have to be a member. Chenantrys (SP?) usually has some good meat deals too. I don't know if they are in Utica, but they are in New Hartford. It's too bad you don't have a Maine's out there. They have better deals than Sams and BJs. I gave up my Sams card because the ones out here are not full service. The closest full service (in-house bakery and meat department) is in Binghampton.

When I lived in Westminster Place, they had subcontracted a water metering company to charge everyone water/sewer. My bill was $20-$30 per month (yes we got it monthly), so that would equate somewhere to what Sean was paying for his 3-month bill. Fortunately, at my current flat, I don't have to worry about that bill.
