Hello

My husband has been accepted to Syracuse university through a government program. We are in our 30`s and have two children 3 and 4. We are looking to rent a home close enough to the university and yet still be in a family friendly area.
Our price range would be 2,000 a month.
Can anyone recommend a good area to start our search?
Thanks .

Try Craigslist; search around the Westcott neighborhood. Close to campus, lots of young families.

These may help too: Syracuse University Rent Apartment Housing

RealtyUSA - Property - Property-List

Along with Westcott, you may like nearby East Side neighborhoods like Outer Comstock(parts of), Meadowbrook and University(around Ed Smith Elementary and Barry Park), as well as DeWitt, much of the Eastwood neighborhood and maybe even the South Valley neighborhood, among some others. Here are a couple that could work, with one within city limits and one in a suburb: Syracuse Real Estate - 517 Brattle Rd, Syracuse, NY, 13203

Dewitt Real Estate - 612 Bradford Pkwy, Dewitt, NY, 13224

Both are within a short drive from campus too.
