A friend and I are having a debate on where the "center" of Syracuse is. Not the geographic center but the psychological or perceive center of the city. What are your thoughts?

Downtown/University Hill, as both are not only in the core of the city, but they are centers of activity. I say this between employment(inc. Eds/Meds), hotels, events(festivals, sports, the arts, etc.) and nightlife.

I may get some heat for this "Hot Take", but out of the bigger cities in Upstate NY, it may have the most active core/Downtown relative to size. I only say that due to the location of both of those areas and how the I-81 construction could actually make it more so, by connecting the 2 with more development. I'm also thinking in terms of "regular times" as well. I could be wrong and it could be up for debate.

Just curious, but what was the debate about in regards to the psychological or perceived center of the city?
