Wanted to thank some of you out there (especialy Bellafinzi) for their help on the neighborhoods north Of Syracuse , most of those places are indeed real nice a and the wife and I really enjoyed our stay there. By the way we found a lot of the landmarks that Bellafinzi had posted photos of, it was weird almost like we been there before!!!!
Unfortunatly we still haven't decided where we are gonna go, and central New York state is a big move from Queens, we will keep everyone posted when we do..

I keep a small apartment in forest hills, and live full time in Manlius. Queens is a different world from Syracuse, that's for sure. I think the quality of life for someone living full time is a lot better in upstate NY - you get so much more housing for your money, and the lifestyle is so much slower and less competitive. NYC is a dog eat dog world. But, I enjoy trips down there because the restaurants and cultural activities are very rich. Up here, it's mostly chain restaurants. Queens has everything. It's definitely a different lifestyle.

Glad I could help! Posts like yours make me feel like all my effort on this site is worth it after all.

I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay in the Syracuse area. I hope you decide to relocate to the area, but best of luck on wherever you choose to live.

Thanks for posting and keeping us updated!

(Sorry I didn't post sooner. Sometimes I check out the forums in "Mod" mindset and forget to reply to posts directed at me.)
