I noticed that Rochester made the list as well, at #20, and Buffalo-Niagara Falls at #21.

Buffalo generally is struggling more than we are, while Albany (#28) is usually posited as much better than here economically.

Boston, surprisingly, is tied with New Haven, CT for #32.

what's interesting is the number of state capitals on the list :Albany, Hartford, Boston, Raleigh, Baton Rouge, Austin..... Lots of recession proof jobs and grants. Anyway, I'm glad for Syracuse.

Yep, Jackson (MS), too. Government seems to be a boost, economically, at least.
