As a graphic designer / web designer flash is finished as a web tool.
Will still have its uses as an animation program and game development tool

Yes, I wonder how many people realize that MS abandoned Flash with Windows 7 Mobile and that many previous Android devices do not support it or run it well, even though it is "available". The world is doing fine without Flash on mobile devices, but we'll see how well the new Honeycomb Android OS works with Flash when it is released in April.

I am not going to say that any of these are useless, but Apple (Jobs) has had an issue with Flash for many years (the reason why is available on Apple dot com), true fanbois prefer firewire instead, and why use memory card slots when Apple pushes wireless technology?

The iPad will never have USB, firewire, or memory card slots.

A friend has an iPad. She got it in November. She was at my house and her and my wife were booking flights on it.
She comes in to ask me:
"Getting some Flash error on this website"
"Really? Because the iPad doesn't support Flash... you didn't know that?"
"No..."
She had the thing for 4 months and only just now ran into her first flash page?
Yea... it is not a deal breaker...

What booking site uses Flash? Most businesses are moving away from Flash for business transactions since it has security issues, and since so many devices don't support it anymore.

Flash is dying out finally, and good riddance.

My personal site is in Flash and is three years old.
Guess what? I am updating it to make it more compliant with new technolgies.
There are still people using IE6 and whether it is because of lazy IT guys or old computers or they are just stupid, that cannot understand why certain websites dont work on their computers.

Yep, that's the one. It comes in handy for hooking up things like a HyperDrive....

The iPad doesn't officially support Flash. If you jailbreak the iPad, you can install the "Frash" plug-in, which currently supports only Flash games and animations. For Flash video, there's the Skyfire app....

Still not upgradable.
Still no flash support
Still no USB
Still no power
Still incredibly limited storage
Still can't connect to a truly secure network infrastructure
Still too brand-specific
Still nothing but an overpriced toy that people desperate for attention will buy because an advertising campaign has convinced them that owning it will somehow make them more interesting as a person.
