What's the tablet equivalent of desktop "click and drag"? Seems that tablets can't do this.

Or am I missing a key step?

I'm new to tablets.

What is your tablet's Operating System? Apple / Android / Windows???

I know that my Android tablet does not have this capability. It uses a different "vocabulary" of user-interface methods.
IE: offhand I can think of: (short) press, long-press, press-and-move, swipe (fast-move), that are all similar but not the same as mouse control movements on my Windows PC.

If you want to move icons hold one down (long press) for a few seconds then you can drag it around (on iOS and Android at least).

You can click and drag in some apps on the iPad. For example, I can do so in Keynote. Not sure, though, what the OP is looking for.

Thanks. It's an Android. Dragging Android widgets is simple, that I can do ---but I notice a lot of times there's absolutely no way to drag - for example, the mobile web UI of the section on GooglePlus where you can move (via click & drag) a person (or several people) from one GooglePlus Circle to another.

I guess some things require a desktop UI. (like the above example) So c'est la vie. I guess I gotta learn to live with that fact.

This is what initially drove me mad https://www.evernote.com/shard/s322/...c0947b7a78aac5 If you've ever used Google+ and tried to move people quickly from one circle to another, it's a pain on desktop but even worse on mobile

Use the Google+ app instead of the browser. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roid.apps.plus

Hi Dankee. I'm aware of that app but it doesn't allow you to move people en masse. It forces you to move people one by one.

No you can't move a large number at once but it's pretty fast and simple on the phone.

Menu > Friends > Click the circle under your friends name > select new circle.
2 clicks. That's pretty fast.
