This just happened on my iPad2 and I can't find any relevant info that will help. When I go to a website (iPad uses Safari), a banner appears at the top of the page and obscures areas I need to access. For instance, I can't go to my home page on Facebook because I can't touch the Home tab. On email, I can't touch the inbox tab.

The banner is an ad for a business locator app. It has an x in the box but it doesn't work. I can't swipe it away either. I understand that Safari has no built-in banners so no help there. I even tried to download the app hoping it would go away but I got a warning that it's not secure so I aborted that attempt.

Any suggestions?

The x usually works for me, but sometimes have to try a few times before it works. I hate that stupid banner. iPhones get it too.
