Every few days, my new tablet sounds an alert "ding", but when I quickly open it, turn it on, and check the notifications bar, there's no indication of what was trying to get my attention, or what to do to turn this off.
I just got a WiFi only Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2019).
I used Samsung's Smart Switch to echo over the apps and settings and documents from my previous tablet. That worked quite well.
I've been using it for about 3 weeks and the alarm has gone off 4-5 times.
It's not happening "on the hour" or half-hour. It's all over the clock.
The clock / alarm clock etc has no alarms.
There aren't any items in my calendar for these days.
No other apps show up on the notification bar, alarming or not.
Anyone know how to identify what drives an alarm?

My Mipad tablet does the same thing - it is annoying. I cannot find the cause either. I think it might be some kind of update available, so maybe check in the settings for updates to the operating system perhaps? But, yes, it's really annoying.

I have a Samsung Tablet, and when I had a security update last month, it beeped. So I would try what ocpaul suggests.

Maybe related, maybe not - I have one charger that somehow forces a ding from both my phone and tablet when the charge is complete. The devices then seem to auto-stop the charging, drop down to 98%, re-starting the charging and another ding. It is totally infuriating, as most silencing techniques don't work. My other chargers are much better behaved.

Android 11.0 is supposed to add a way to see the Notifications Log:
Now I just have to cross my digital-fingers in hope my Samsung gets it updated.

Android 11 does offer a Notifications Log but it also offers a Notifications History that is accessed via
Settings>Apps & Notifications>Notifications>Notifications History...........HOWEVER, IT HAS TO BE TURNED ON FIRST BY FOLLOWING THE SAME STEPS AND THEN TURNING IT ON.
The log is found via the Settings Widget. Just access the Widgets Drawer on a blank space on your phone's screen, scroll down to Settings, access Settings, and scroll down to Notification Log and place it on your phone.
Now to access the notification log, just press the widget.....
I have just verified this works on Android 11, however, I remember reading the "log" via the widget was available on some previous versions of Android OS; primarily 10. However, just checking my Samsung table that has 10; I cannot access any notifications log. Might just be a block put on the OS by Samsung...who knows.
(Not bad for an old 72 year old guy who is supposed to be in my rocker watching soap operas. )
