DISH Anywhere App (Internet, download, Samsung)

Anyone else use the Dish Anywhere App on a tablet? I do a lot of camping and find it is a great feature to download a movie on to a tablet and then watch is when camping and there is no internet available.
HOWEVER, this last camping trip it would not work, and when returning I was informed by DISH that the app no longer supports Android 7 or older versions.

So for those who do used this app, beware....

And my ASUS tablet, which has been flawless has no upgrade to Android 8...bummer.

So, just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.

Asus tablets are notoriously 'hackable'. Could have gotten 8 on it I'm sure.

That's what I thought, but not this particular tablet. Tried a few rooting software packages; nothing worked, called a friend who roots everything for everybody and he told me he had a terrible time with a different ASUS one time; but not sure about mine.

So, you say easy to hack; I have found just the opposite. And time is important so I said screw it and got the Tab S6.
