using l.t.e. tablet as cellular-telefone (play, app, plan)

i mite get a galaxy tab-8 which will have a sim card for cellular data (which means it will have a fone # attached to it).

has anyone done anything like downloading a dialer from goggle-play to call a landline fone ?

Any VoIP app should work, but that uses data and not the number itself.

good advice. but it still makes receiving calls difficult.

i get that its impractical but why do tablet manufacturers go out of their way to make cellular capable tablets incapable of making and receiving calls ?

So they can sell you a phone.

Most tablet data plans are far cheaper than call/text/data phone plans.
