Need some help. I have a friend in her early 30's moving to Tally. She is wondering where does the above 30 crowd hang out? Midtown? I heard something about Level 8 downtown?

Cafe Divorcee aka Cafe Cabernet.

The Cab Stand aka the Crab Stand (because its a good place to catch them) has been taken over by the above.

I've been married too long and have kids now so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

Yep, and Midtown, maybe Andrew's downtown as well.

You could probably count the places on one hand--Tally's tough if one is not a) a college student or b) married with kids.

Thanks guys I'll tell her! Andrews is still there... I figured Tally was either your a college student or your married with children type of place. When we were in town last weekend we went out to the Midtown bars, they just still felt younger than 30. I thought well maybe it was because everyone went to the game or something...

Virtually non existent.

Check out the ones suggested and Waterworks...possibly Calico Jacks on capital Circle some nights, certain events at The Moon.

24-40 singles crowd is going to be tough.

waterworks is great and quiet. It's more of the hippie crowd though. Midtown is swarming with us 30+ folk.

Midtown/Thomasville Road between Monroe and 7th Avenue is experience something of a revival. Wine bars and little restaurants have popped up there recently. Most of them more upscale than anything nearer to campus.

And Whataburger is still there too!
