Welcome to the neighborhood, walead2002. Summer weather will be winding down in a month or two, the community will be invigorated as public schools and the colleges start back up, and before you know it we will be full blown into football season and all of its social gatherings. The fall and spring seasons are wonderful here. Hope you like it.

I know this thread is kind of old, but I was just looking at data on Quincy and was shocked by the crime rate. There is a lot of personal property crime, which usually indicates a meth problem, but there is also a disturbingly huge number of rapes. In some years more than 10x the national average. The town is also crawling with sex offenders, and these aren't the romeo and juiliette type, either. I've been scrolling through the list and it is grown men (mostly) victimizing children.

Makes me wonder what the heck is going on there.

Quincy and Gadsden county has some poverty issues... With poverty comes crime... Now on the other hand their are some very nice houses and neighborhoods over there as well...

If you were looking for more rural living but in proximity to Tallahassee, Leon county is large and the outlying rural areas of Leon county are nice, You might consider jefferson county or wakulla county as other cheaper alternatives.
