How long does it take to get to DT Tallahassee from The I-10/Thomasville Rd/Capital Circle area during the morning rush hour? I kinda like that area and love the Premiere Gym (I work out in the mornings) but I will be working at the FDOT office off of Suwannee St across the street from Cascades Park. Traffic wasn't bad Friday when I was up there but I realize if probably gets much worse when school is in session and when the legislature is in session.

Google maps tells me to take Capital Circle south to Mahan SW to DT and is about 20 minutes at 9:00am this morning. Is that about right?

Thanks!
Tracy

I no longer live in TLH, but I visit often and I lived there for several years .. if you're near I-10, you should also try the direct route down T'ville Road into midtown, and then hang a left on one-way Calhoun St. (heading south) one block before you get to Monroe Street. That will take you very close to where you need to go, and I believe that road moves fairly quickly. I have no idea how traffic backs up on T'ville Road when you're in midtown during rush hour -- I'm normally in town on the weekends or when it isn't a morning commute.

It can take as little as 10-15 minutes or as long as 30-45 minutes. The variation in time greatly depends on the time of morning you plan on venturing into downtown and the time of the year. During the summer (when school is out) I can get from Kerry Forest Parkway (which is well north of I-10) to downtown in roughly 15 minutes if I avoid peak times. I'm usually driving no later than 6:45am as there's always a rush just before and during the top of every hour. During the school year, I would tack on 10 minutes to your travel time. Hope this helps!
