What are the best areas for a single female retiree to live in Tallahassee? need to be on public transportation. looking for apartments.

Well, the buses don't go everywhere, and they don't arrive frequently. Tallahassee isn't known for its public transportation.

I suggest starting your search by looking at a map of the bus system (StarMetro | StarMetro) and coordinating your apartment search with that. Best areas are in the northeast quadrant of the city.

I'm not sure of your budget, but there's a nice apartment complex called The Reserve off Conner Blvd. and there is a bus that runs down Conner. But those apts are a little pricey.
