In our recent move we bought our boxes at Lowes and Home Depot...they R not heavy duty but cheap enough where you can buy several for the price of a heavy duty one...we bought the medium size boxes and stuffed them...not one of the boxes opened on the bottom or tore/ripped/etc...just make sure you use enough tape to secure them at the bottom...3 strips did it for us...even on the heaviest boxes...

Just make sure you fill the boxes completely, for the movers just stuff them in and when not filled the box will give and crush...but we had nothing broken...

Make sure you buy some tape...we bought a six pack and went back for another one...they both have the clear tape and the hand tool...

We found that some grocery stores have boxes bananas come in that work good. Fairly sturdy. We used some from liqour stores, but had to sometimes but one box inside the other to make it sturdy enough. Like the above poster said, get plenty of tape. Also for cushioning we used the rolls of brown packing paper at Walmart. Just tear off what you need, crumble it up, and stuff it in the box. Better than newspaper. There is no ink to rub off.
