We are moving to Tallahassee in July and will be working in mid-town area. Can you recommend a good subdivision/ area for young married professionals. We have a 2 year old and are looking for a home to rent at first. We think we'd like to live in northeast area near mid- town.

I grew up in Tally and lived there for 9 years. The other comments are good. Also, depending on your price range and if you're willing to go more towards the Fl/ Ga line, the Killearn Lakes area is all families and thus, is very family oriented with a nice park called, "Tekesta Park" which holds family events a few times a year for the neighborhood. The area has multiple options for price ranges plus A+ schools. I went to Deerlake Middle and Chiles High and am now in College in South Florida.
