Hello everyone,

My boyfriend got accepted into a doctorate program at FSU so we are moving down there from VA this summer. We are looking for a place with a fenced-in backyard for our dogs, ideally in an area like Midtown as we want to be walking distance from the restaurant/bar scene without it being too college-y. I've found a few places on Zillow but was wondering if anyone knows of any other websites or specific real estate agents to look for good rental options in Tallahassee? Also any other neighborhoods that fit this description (fenced-in backyard, walking distance to bars and close enough to FSU, more than one bedroom preferably) other than Midtown I'd love to hear of more. As we've never been to Tallahassee (flying down to hopefully sign a lease during Memorial Day weekend) we are super new to this so we'd love any help we can get.

Thanks!
Liz

You need to be here to look around. Honestly, a lot of properties are not posted online. When you are here, drive around the neighborhoods where you want to live, and look for "for rent" signs placed in the yard.

You will probably have much better luck that way.

Another good neighborhood to look at would be Levy Park. Its near midtown, and is less expensive than midtown.

Also check out Los Robles Neighborhood, and Lafayette Park.

Southwood might be a good area for you. It's pricey though. And, you may be able to find something along Blairstone Road. You could check in North Tallahassee as well, but it may be to far and there's not a huge young crowd. I've only seen mostly elderly living in North Tallahassee. I hope this helps and hope you find what you're looking for.
