Hey everyone,

I'm not sure I'm in the right area of the Florida forums, but I'm looking to take a trip to Panama City Beach FL the week of 9/20 and I was wondering if it would be too cold to go swimming in the ocean at that time. I want to take my son there for a weekend trip but I don't know if there's a point if it's too cold to go swimming this time of year.

Thanks!

Water temperature will be fine. Late September is a good time to go to the panhandle beaches -- the water is still relatively warm, but the air temperatures aren't as hot as July/August.

Weather and Water should be good! It seems to 'cool' down around mid October. I hope you have a nice visit here! Hope you booked a room somewhere already! They go fast.
