Hi folks...been looking at both places.
How is the humidity and bug problem in Tallahassee?
I suppose it’s less than southern Florida!

Do you want to be close to the Gulf of Mexico and beaches, or do you want to be close to mountains?

Not sure what you mean by "problem" with bugs. I've seen about as many bugs where I live in metro Atlanta than in TLH. Anywhere in the southeast will have bugs.

North FL is as humid as south FL, especially where you don't get the ocean breezes (Tallahassee doesn't have that). I've been to Chattanooga a few times during the summer - the heat/humidity at times in Chat. is similar to that of TLH, but the consistency and duration of summer humidity in TLH is greater than that in Chat.

Very different citys and something you should be able to decide on . One is more tourist oriented with older- industrial feel to it the other is collage city with perhaps a better or easier outdoor life style specially if the move a few miles outside of tallahassee . There are some great beaches and fishing near by ! I like chattanooga but more as a weekend stay . I could live a few mils south of Tallahassee .. But it is your choice so try to visit both and have the chamber of commerce send info to you
