Hello. I am possibly moving to Perry and I am looking for every opinion out there! I am moving from Fort Lauderdale, Fl. My husband and I are in our 30s but looking for a quieter place to enjoy living. We don't have children and don't plan to. Are we making a huge mistake or a great choice?? Thank you in advance!!! <3

Perry is fine, kind of "country". A fair amount of stores and restaurants. I'd live there, but I'm pretty easy to please. Jobs could be an issue, unless you are in the service/hospitality industry. Right now we are in Monticello and love it here.
But it is 100% different than Ft. Lauderdale. I suggest you come visit for several days. Eat at the local places, visit the local grocery stores. Maybe even meet with a realtor to see what the housing options are for you. Then post back if you have additional questions.
Good luck! I love north FL, but it definitely isn't for everyone.

Not much in Perry. Extremely isolated, so you need to be aware of that. It will definitely be less crowded than FTL - there are so many differences, I wouldn't know where to begin.

I think you may want to try Leon county. It’s got better medical/shopping and city services than Perry. Tallahassee is a beautiful city
