I'm considering buying a home on the West side of town near Lake Jackson. Do you recommend buying a house in that area, why or why not? Will it be more difficult selling the house in the future. I know Southwood and North East side of town are considered more desireable areas but houses are expensive. I've found some newer homes on the West side and it seems like a good idea. I work downtown, so I'm aware it'll be longer commute to work.

Near lake Jackson is a pretty good area. Just make sure to drive through the neighborhoods you are considering and look at how they look.
