I need a fresh start and I am thinking of relocating to Tallahassee. I have no friends or family in the area and have only visited there once. I have read that it is a nice place for a person to start over and it is affordable. The affordable part is important because I am a working, 40 year old student. That aside, I would really like to know some pros and cons of relocating here from some of the locals. Looking for ideas on the job market (I work in the medical field), things to do for people my age and younger as my son is in his 20's, and maybe some general information on the area. Any advice would be appreciated, as you can only get so far with research on the internet.

Thanks!

Check out TMH and CApital regional for hospitals to work at.

It’s a great city with lots to do, and great colleges if your son wants to pursue a trade or a skill.

It’s growing, but it is affordable.

I love the parks and Greenways some of the best in the country.

Short drive to Springfed rivers for swimming and boating and the gulf is not far away either.

It’s got good schools, and really great people.

Come give us a try

Pros, city is big enough to have almost everything you want, without being a huge city.
Lots of jobs in the medical field,

Good schools

Great parks and access to the beaches (st George island)

Growing city with more job opportunities
