Hi all,

Just looking for some insight. Step daughter is looking for an apartment for the next school year. This year will be year 2 in the dorms for her. So to be clear, we are talking about June-july move in time frame of 2024. She is currently looking east of tallahasse along apalachee. She is attending FSU. Looking for recommendations and or "warnings" of places to stay away from. Like everyone else would say, she's a good kid and studious and is not into the party scene per se. lol

Thanks for any and all advice/suggestions.

Years ago I lived at The Wescott on Conner Blvd (The Reserves), just west of Capital Circle SE near the Piney Z area. Verandes at Blair Stone in SE Tallahahassee in the Southwood area is gated. There are also some new apartment complexes in the Southwood area.

To cut down on travel time and less worries about parking, you may want to just check out the Gaines Street District just south of campus (Pensacola, Madison, Lafeyette, St. Augustine St areas) because it is a rapidly developing area. It can get noisy at times with lots of new mixed used development in this area that was not around when I attended FSU. It would have been my first choice because of convenience and includes commercial, restaurants, and a Publix. It just seems more safe and within walking distance to the FSU campus.
