I think for all practical purposes Crawfordville and surrounding area is Tallahassee. Tallahassee is the anchor city with all the amenities one would need. You are only a few minutes away. It may offer the best of both. Cheaper housing, many multi-acreages, quieter and laid back. I just saw an almost new house on 5 acres for $95,000 just a few minutes from Tallahassee. I think Tallahassee may offer some of the best outlying and affordable areas of any city in Florida and worth considering. I am never crazy about living right in the city when you can be so close with maybe a quieter lifestyle.
