Hi my daughter and her boyfriend are moving to tallahassee for Brittanys freshman year at FSU. We have been looking for apartments and trying to find a good area. Has any one had any experience with Pointe East apartments at 709 Pointe Ct Tallahassee, FL 32308? They are 2/1 units for a really good price. Thanks for the help.

It all depends what kind of environment u like, there are lot of students who stay near campus, but that is for all students, so too much disturbance. I live in meridian place apartments it is more for family type people. But there are lots of students are, i myself is currently pursuing bachelors from FSU, i love this apartments. It is only 5 -7 to FSU. It is nice place trust me. PM me for more info.

Stadium 35 Apartments is on Stadi Drive, across from the Med school building. Here's my experience:

The most convenient location. The inside of the apartments are beautiful, everything was clean when I moved in. The building itself is a little old, so the A/C is also very old and only cools the immediate room it is located in (kitchen) and you really have to turn it down to reach the back bedroom. The cinderblock walls also do not insulate well so summer = much hotter and winter is an ice box. That is expected with an old building. They just remodeled the outside and it looks SO much better.

If you live on the side closest to the dumpster, it sometimes piles up so high and smells for a couple of days before it gets cleaned up and you get to experience that everytime you walk to your car. Not Stadium 35's fault though.

The building is very quiet and my neighbors were all super nice. The streetview though allows for easy access. My bike was stolen from the second floor, so careful of what you leave, even if its locked up with two chains.

Unfortunately, the landlord is a nightmare. She is very unorganized and does not notify tenants on ANYTHING. With the new remodeling, they repaved the parking lot. Instead of notifying tenants to move their cars ahead of time, or knock on our doors telliing us to move our cars, she had them all towed to a lot next to our apartment. This was a nightmare when I had to leave for work and I had no idea where
my car was. It would have been very simple to just put a little note on our doors letting us know....

Maintenance is good, but only when she remembers to notify them to come (again, she is unorganized). She is either overly nice, or has an attitude so I never know what to expect.

These are little things, but when something goes wrong in your unit, it is a pain to deal with her. I left for this reason because it started to add up. Otherwise, if you are patient then it could be tolerable.

Her sister owns the ugly brown building behind it on Call Street, I'm sure it runs in the family... Good luck!
