I know Tallahassee is a great American college town. But, are there any professional, quiet, non-student apartment complexes? As middle-aged folks, we're not eager to deal with loud keg parties on neighboring balconies until 3 a.m. every weekend night. I don't want to be the cranky old man of the complex, but I'll have to get up early and go to work.

Default Tlh

Generally speaking, the farther north in town you go, the less students you will encounter. I know there are some apartments up near the Killearn area.

Depends on the area where you want to live...

The up and coming area, Southwood, which is in the southeast part of town. There are several nice luxury apartment complexes out there, that are quite nice. Delaney Park at Southwood, Twin Oaks at Southwood, Verandas at Blairstone.

North part of town you have Barrington Park apartments. Tallahassee doesn't have many great apartment complexes, and you are better off finding a nice townhome. There are plenty of communities and neighborhoods with both homes and townhouses with community pools, walking trails, etc.

I saw your other thread too...

Stay north of I-10 and you will be fine.

We use to live in a great apartment complex on Hermitage Blvd. not far from the Killearn area, I think it was called Heritage Square Apts., those were the best kept apts. I have lived at, no students, very quiet and good management.

I forgot about that area. Just south of I-10 and very nice! I think the Goose Pond Trail runs through there as well.

Also take a look at The Reserve, corner of Apalachee Parkway and Conner Blvd.
