Have you tried Tallahassee? Apparently it is in the top ten places in the US to find a job these days!

I have been trying for 4 months now to find a clerical office job and can't get one. I have filled out a number of applications and had numerous interviews but still no luck!

I work for a staffing company in Tallahassee as a branch manager. I cannot get enough clients. Where is the work supposed to be?

Instead of waiting for work to come to you, go out and get it. The old saying is network network, and reach out to people.

I got another graduate degree in software engineering, and the staff agencies routinely contact me from throughout Florida even though I have already moved back to Arizona. The job market is exploding with opportunity for software skills.

If I were young and inexperienced and unable to find a job in FL, then I would go the following:

(1) Enroll in an inexpensive community college (e.g. TCC, SFC, SPC) and get a quick associate's degree in one of the following areas:

* Electronic Health Records/Medical Billing
* Allied Health
* Computer Programming
* Networking
* CAD Technician
* Cybersecurity
* Web Site Development

These degrees are quick to earn and inexpensive. Talk to an academic advisor asap and just go back. Rejoice in the opportunity.

I would rather live in Arizona anyday than Tallahassee, I think its depressing here in some areas, crime rate is also pretty high compared to other areas in Florida and out of state. I guess it has its pros and cons. I am also finding a long wait to get in to see a dentist which is annoying. Go elsewhere if your not a student.

My sentiments exactly. I am euphoric to be back in Arizona - particularly Northeast Phoenix near the desert foothills. I love the sound of gamble quail outside the apartment. It evokes decades of childhood memories.

The escape from Tallahassee was pragmatic.

This is interesting. I know people living here in Arizona who are looking to move to Florida!
