I live in Wa state where we have 2 seasons...rain and summer.
Is there lots of humidity there?
If you are planning on living in the South, better get used to humidity. It goes with the territory.

I don’t have asthma, but I assume it’s fine if you keep your inhaler nearby.

Every year around this time I get so fed up with the endless heat down here that I start looking to move. October should be a nice month but down here it is still uncomfortably hot. However I don't want to deal with snow and Tallahassee is on my list of places to consider. Were they hit bad from hurricane Michael last year? I'm assuming there are more outdoor activities to engage in since it's not so hot for so long? Do they have Fall Festivals? According to Weather.com it is 61 there right now at 10:44 a.m. Meanwhile here in Cape Coral it is already 85 degrees. I miss autumn and thought the Tallahassee area might be a good compromise.

I'm going to check out homes in the area on Realtor.com but any info you could give me would be helpful. BTW I'm a 64 year old woman in pretty good health and I like to stay active outside the house, weather permitting.

Tallahassee is a great place to live. No, it wasn’t hit bad by hurricane Michael.

Yes, I think you would love tallahassee. Rolling hills, parks and greenways everywhere, it’s pretty much the best part of Florida.

There are a lot of beautiful houses there and much more reasonable in price than here in Lee County. I loved the area the few times we visited when my oldest was at FSU. I remember we took him up for a visitation in January or February of 2003 and it was 22 degrees there! I miss seasons and while I know you guys get hot & humid weather in the summer, it's not for as long as down here.

Why don’t you move up?
