It's a strange feeling for me, too. I can fly 35,000 feet up in an airplane and feel just fine. But get me in a tall building near the windows and I can't breathe! In my 25+ years living here, I've been over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge twice: once when the old bridge was still half standing and another time when I had to get to Sarasota in a hurry. I had high anxiety from end to end. The low bridges over the waterways (Courtney Campbell, Gandy, and Howard Frankland) don't bother me so much...unless it's storming.

Going to NYC this summer and will defiitely stay away from the tops of the skyscapers ----sometimes it isn't a problem. Don't mind driving on the upper level of the Selmon which is somewhat elevated. Nice view up there. Skyway isn't bad coming down, just going up - would hate to be stuck up on the top with a broken down car.

Yup - put me at 35-40,000 feet and I nod off watching the clouds and the landmarks below. Love flying into TIA and looking for things on approach.
