I visited my local bank today in St Pete and asked them to make a withdrawel and i wanted the money in unused one dollar bills.

They said that they did not have unused one dollar bills but if they did, they would come in packages of 100 a piece.

Do anyone know where i can change to unused 1 dollar bills?

I want to save them for collective purpuses.

I am happy to pay 4 dollars for 4 dollars though.
They dont have to be in a collection. One day i might even open up the package if i dont have any money at home to buy hamburgers for

That is also why, to have change at home and a little for collective purposes.

You should see the gasp of horror on the teller's faces when you ask them for rolls of nickels!

Next time you go in explain to the teller that you have just moved to the U.S. and why you want new bills. Let them know you understand they may not have any broken open now but when they do have to break one to put a few aside for you.
Try Regions bank if that is not where you went, they are usually pretty accommodating.

You could always do what my grandmother used to do: iron them. She was too embarrassed to send wrinkled bills in various birthday cards.

Presuming you are a regular customer at this bank Cant You just place an order at the bank for the required amount of $1 bills?might take a week or two but you arent in a hurry, right?.Tell them if they dont take care of their customers some one else will.
If you dont have an account with the bank forget about them doing anything for you.On a recent trip to Florida i got stuck with about 20 $100 bills, went to 5 different banks and not a single bank would cash them for smaller denominations because i didnt have an account with them,Hey i'm a tourist i'm going to spend all this money in your community
Who finally helped me out and cashed some of them for me ? Walmart

I did that, i also told them that i could do it in Sweden.
However, that was in a "forex" and not in a bank.

I asked them if they could do that, they said no

I do have a account in the bank and it is my only bank in the US. So i would say that i am a regular customer.

I asked them if i could order and they told me that they only get whatever is in the vault and they never know what that is.

They told me that it was a surprise each time they got a new delivery.

I dont mind waiting for a week or two.

I am sure that what you tell me is true. it is all business for the banks and they only consider the numbers on the accounts.
If your name was Bill Gates, i am sure that they would do anything for you even if you were not a customer.
