To make a long story short, I'm looking for a specific type of root beer/creme soda - Henry Weinhard. Sometimes specialty "candy" or soda stores carry them, but i've also found that Krogers stores carry them too.

I checked Kroger's website and they do not have any stores in/near tampa. Does Krogers sell under a different name down here? In Nebraska for example, Krogers sold under the company name "Bakers" but you couldnt locate that on their website if searching by zipcode.

Unfortunately, it looks like according to the Henry Weinhard website, no FL distributors for their stuff, so it sounds like I'm SOL unless I can find a specialty store that maybe ships them in. Are there any kinda stores like that in the area that anyone can think of?

Nope, no Kroger-owned stores in Florida at the moment. They tried in the 70s or 80s and it didn't work.

Could you just order it directly to your house via the internet?

If you have a Fresh Market near you, check it out. They have a lot of specialty sodas I never heard of, so there is a chance they could have it.

Sure, I *could* but shipping would be 4x the cost of the bottles I've looked into it and I believe a 6 or 12 pack (I forget which) of rootbeer was 30 dollars shipping. That was priced out from amazon and a couple internet soda seller webpages. They were all huge amount of shipping prices.

I guess liquid is relatively heavy, so i could see a 12 pack being fairly steep for shipping. you could try going into one of those specialty wine/beer stores and see if they might order it for you.

I was accustomed to Kroger's too and hoped to find one after the move. No luck. I found Publix to be the best substitute. They often have the B1G1F as did Kroger's.

Yes.. but publix does not carry this type of rootbeer, however Krogers did. That was the whole point of the post.... I dont really care about krogers in specific except for that fact. Krogers was over priced on grocery items, IMO.
