It's pretty exciting after so many years of not winning to be at 2-0! Does anyone else see hope for a .500 season or better?

The Bucs are a young team, Freeman appears to be getting settled in a little and its looking like the young receiver corps is going to be excellent in another year or two. The defense appears to be doing better this year, getting a little pressure on the QB. All in all, you have to admit the team is much better this year than last. I think they can do a .500 season. A lot of people thought the Brown might beat them and almost everyone expected Carolina to beat them. Well, they are 2 - 0... maybe they'll start gelling even more and get some magic going.

Bucs 10 - 6 (Yeah, I'm being optimistic)

Upcoming Schedule -

Steelers - Win
-Everyone is going to pick the Steelers on this one. Steelers defense is great, beyond great this year. But their offense is awful and without Ben they have few threats. Steelers have been winning games on defensive plays alone. I think the Bucs D will stop them and Freeman, Cadillac, Williams (WR) and Winslow are going to be able to squeak out a win. The key is, the Bucs have to not give up any turnovers if they are to win this one.

Cincinnati - Loss
They have too much firepower and too elusive of a QB to stop them from putting up a lot of points.

Saints - Loss
Defense is too complicated for Freeman to read effectively and the Saints offense... enough said.

Rams - Win
Rams QB is young and inexperienced and they have a weak defense. Bucs will win this one.

Cardinals - Win
Amazing how the Cardinals have fallen from their perch. Guess that's what happens when your QB retires and you refuse to pay your excellent receiving corps. Bucs will need to be healthy to stop the run and Freeman should have no problem opening up their defense.

Atlanta - Loss
Atlanta's Defensive line is pushing O-Lines back very effectively. And with their ground attack they are going to be hard to stop. Its very hard to make predictions for games this late in the season, especially when talking about the young Bucs. But unless ATL has a bunch of injuries and the Bucs begin to get on fire.... I just don't see them winning.

Panthers - Win
Panthers have a serious QB problem. We beat them once already, let's beat them again!

San Francisco - Loss
I think SF is going to be much better than they are now by this time of year. I also think the Bucs are going to be getting tired. Its getting late in the season and with teh Bucs D being tired Frank Gore is going to run all over them. Alex Smiith is going to get better by this point of the season. Freeman will be banged up due to the lackluster O-Line and his performance will begin fading.

Ravens - Loss
Their defense is just too good for no O-Line and a young QB. I don;t see the Bucs winning this unless Cadillac can run the ball like he used to.

Atlanta - Loss
Sorry folks. Pretty mcuh same reasons as earlier in the season.... plus the Bucs just got down being pounded into a pulp by the Ravens Defense.

Redskins - Win
McNabb is going to throw, throw and throw some more. Then the Skins will try to run the ball. Getting McNabb to release the ball quickly is going to be necessary to to stop him. They're running game sucks and I am confident our Defense can stop it. Haynesworth will be playing and he is either going to feel like he has something to prove, or won't care and will be lazy. Quick dumps to Winslow, Williams and Cadillac will allow the Bucs to grind this one out.

Lions - Win
After the tough win against the Skins they're going to have to play the Lions. I don;t think the Lions are going to have much fight in them and the Bucs will be energized after their win on the road. This is the first of 2 home games in a row.

Seahawks - Win
To be clear, I am a Seahawks fan. If I didn't live in a town that had a team, the Seahawks would be my team. Since I live in a town that has a team, I must support my local team. Hasselbeck will be hurt and out for the season. The Bucs are a better team, period. The hawks have little to nothing going for them.

Saints - Win
What, did I say they are going to beat the Saints??? I must be crazy. No, I expect the Saints to have little need for this win and they are going to take it easy. If they do come full steam ahead, its going to be trouble... but this would be a great upset victory for the Bucs

I like your positive thoughts FloridaKash!

I agree with most of your picks, but think the Steelers game at home this week (though with all the Steelers problems, it could be a chance to swipe another upset) and the Redskins game away are what separates the Bucs from a winning season. I'll take 8-8 though!

McNabb tends to begin to fall to pieces towards the end of the season. I would think this season is going to be no exception.... at least hoping so Everytime I move to a new city their sports teams end up having winning records.

Moved to Seattle, the Mariners won 116 games that year.

Moved to Austin, University of Texas won the Championship over USC (one of the best college games ever)

Moved back to Alaska, Minor League Hockey Team won Championship.

Now that I am in Tampa Bay, I expect the Rays to make it to the Playoffs and do well and the Bucs are going to make it to the playoffs somehow. Okay, the latter sounds crazy..... but stranger things have happened!

Oh, also expect a record lotto to occur soon.... that always happens as well.

Kash - you might visit Pewterreport.com. I think you'd enjoy the dialogue with fellow Buc fans. I have another screen name there (Morgan).
