Hey, hey..it's not so much in the city of Tampa as it is Hillsborough County. The good Christian commission votes to ban any display of gay pride, but has not problem with bobbie bars. LMAO! I like it here, but isn't it backwards some times?

You have to go way back to understand why there are strip clubs in Tampa. They have try MANY many times to shut them down. Joe Redner the owner of several clubs in Tampa took them to court and he won. They raided his clubs, threw him in jail and took him to court, but he didn't quit. They banned alcohol sales in these clubs at first thinking that would shut them down, it didn't. They put in new zoning laws but they couldn't get rid of the ones that were already established. With the zoning laws they just opened new ones in an area according to the zoning laws was acceptable, that is why you find so many in Drew park now a days.

What's wrong with strip clubs as long as they're obeying the laws?

Nothing wrong with going to the strip bar once in a while. Every red blooded male should do it occasionally. If it bothers you, tough!!

I really despise do-gooders that want to legislate their moral code on me. This is America, we can all be different. Some folks just need to mind their own business.

Well, while as an older female I personally don't care for strip clubs; at least they are all in "certain areas" zoned for them in Tampa. If anyone doesn't like them they are certainly easily avoided.

Yes, at least they are all in certain areas of Tampa like Drew Park and Adamo Drive over in East Tampa....the only exception ive seen is the infamous Mons and 2001 on busy Dale Mabry Hwy just south of the Stadium. But I guess a business is a business...
