I agree, but I was looking yesterday for a rental and everthing I looked at (at least a 2/2 with a yard for dogs) started at 1600 a month and parking can be a problem.

Check out 33611, and 33616, my neighborhood is a block from the Bay just east of Westshore Blvd, and just south of Euclid Avenue, and most are running from 190k for a 2/1 home to 350k for a 3/2 home.
Although you will find modestly priced homes in the other zips(33629,33609).

If you want an answer worth anything you will have to give more specifics such as what do you think constitutes "nice". Also what is your size and price range? Do you care about schools? Do you know where you will work? There are plenty of places that someone will claim is "nice". However what is nice for a retiree with no school age kids may not be nice for someone with kids and a need to commute every day.

Default family life ?? best ??

well for quality of life for FAMILY, I think maybe outside Tampa, but the commute can be awful , south Tampa is becoming very expensive, I had a house in WestChase near Linbaugh and the commute in and out can be nasty ! but the same can be said coming in to dt from Brandon, or Vlilla Rica (which is the worst- HWY 60) - I know many people who have decided to live in northern Manatee County and either drive across the skyway or up 75, just to miss the traffic coming in form places like New Tampa, West Chase, Carollwood, etc ! Tarpon Springs is a great little community, but that's a hike ! we just looked at a home in a gorgeous area around Apollo Beach....right on the water it's called Mira Bay

I live in Lutz(33558) and find it to be the perfect location for a family. You are minutes from the Vets Express/Dale Mabry Hwy for downtown access, yet far away from urban concerns. The public schools are excellent and there are many safe family-friendly communities...Heritage Harbor, Villa Rosa, Cheval, etc. Odessa/Westchase are also nice areas for families.
Hope this helps.

I used to live in Pebble Creek, we owned a house off Cypress Shadow Ave. in Country Crossings. It is a quiet neighborhood, but the houses are older and we completely re-did ours inside. There are no CDD's in Pebble Creek. It is close to shopping, movies, and restaurants, but the beach is still a good drive.
