I'm a 31-year-old guy looking to move to the Tampa area.

My main interests are:
1) The beach
2) Dating
3) Ease of travel (mainly driving, but I also like to bike)

Any recommendations? Ideally I'd like to be as close to a beach as possible.

(I work from home, so employment opportunities are not a factor).

I think Tampa is supposed to have the best dating scene, with St. Pete coming in second. Neither are on the beach, but St. Pete is closer. You could check out some of the beach cities, but you probably won't find a thriving singles scene on any of them.

Tampa doesn't have any beaches except Ben Davis. But if I were you, I'd look into Davis Islands/Harbor Islands areas of Tampa.

Look at St Pete and check out the downtown area. There are actually single people living amongst
St Petersburg's population of 250,000, and living on the bay side would place you close enough to Tampa as well. The advantage being of course much quicker access to the beaches and the great bike trail (Pinellas Trail).

I agree with that - downtown ST Pete looks like a good place to live. If I didn't already have a place, I'd consider the area.

I have a condo in Pasadena.
I like it there, someone said in another thread that there are a lot of old people in the area but i think that's changing because of the closeness to the beach and the fact that the prices is getting up.

Your main interests are:
1) The beach
I have 5 minutes in car to the beaches.

2) Dating
I have not tried it yet

3) Ease of travel (mainly driving, but I also like to bike)
Pinellas trail goes by the area.
It is a long road only for biking and walking

it is close to 66st that is one of the larger roads.
