Has anybody been there?

I'm taking a teenager to a concert there. Got "lawn" tix, so I can hopefully be as far away from the stage as possible. (It's Projekt Revolution, not exactly my cup of tea.)

Is it possible I won't be totally squished in by screaming teens?
Is it more controlled than concerts I used to go to?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Been there many times, depends on the crowd, and if its a sold out show. Ive been to shows where the lawn for very very crowded, but ample space and aisles to walk around, and ive been to shows where people were just scattered about the lawn(non sold out show)...all in all, most of the time, depending whos playing, most poeple are on there feet on the laen dancing and having a good time. Its a ways away from the stage, but there are giant monitors to watch from the lawn.

I've been to a few shows and never had anything but a good time. The sound kinda sucks, but I'm guessing that won't matter to you!

I've been up there a few times, saw Dave Matthews Band last year & Roger Waters in May.

Lawn is fine, go later as it's pretty steamy till the sun goes down.

I think the sound depends on the sound crew. For Roger Waters, the sound was more than perfect...it was amazing. Dave Matthews was pretty good too.

That's probably true - having sound engineers experienced with outdoor acoustics would make a big difference. I cannot believe I missed the Roger Waters show now that everyone is raving about it.

Gemini Lighting Television Productions did the sound for Roger Waters, I'm acquainted with the owner...

I have to rub it in...An Evening with Roger Waters had the most amazing sound I've heard in ages...I had a seat and my friend had lawn & snuck him in over the row..lol...we kept moving around to empty seats and finally ended up out on the lawn at the end...but, even the lawn had good sound! Just a total good experience...

Have you seen Uncle John's Band at Skippers?

Any good shows lately (2008)? That'll be one of the great things to do when I get back to the TB area.
