If you want instant gratification versus waiting a couple of weeks for "in-stock" items, check out Macy's and La-Z-Boy. La-Z-Boy offers next day delivery in most cases apparently and Macy's within a couple of days. Macy's also consistently has some floor models on sale for same-day pickup at clearance costs.

I just discovered West Elm recently, worth checking out...There isn't a store in the Tampa area (there is one in Orlando at Milennia) but they do deliver to the Tampa area twice a week. Unlike other furniture stores, they have everything shown in-store available on premises for either pick-up or quick delivery. If you're looking for nicer furniture that holds up well, it could be a good fit for you. I'm ordering some pieces from them myself once I'm down there. IKEA furniture isn't made to hold up over the years, imo. It has its place in the homes of college students - not durable, easy to put together and easily moved.

No offense to any IKEA regulars.

Agreed, you get what you pay for. It has it's purposes but long-term isn't one of them.
