Big bonus if you aren't talking Los Angeles or Miami prices for that era.

Thanks!
If you haven't already found what you're looking for, there is a great new place in Tampa. Kaleidoscope @ 6415 N. Florida Ave. 33604 813-234-5800.

Default Want to Share a MCM Search in Tampa Bay?

HI
Would love to venture out with someone else in the Tampa Bay area with a passion for MCM and share gas money and fun

The retro store that was so great was Cool Stuff Gallery on central which has closed. Many of the cool stores closed during the building boom bubble when mom and pop places were put out of business for the new ever increasing in value condos were supposed to be built

Well the bubble burst, Tampa and St Pete got way overbuilt and vacant and all those cool store were forced to close to make room for the new condos.

But a adventure in MCM is very possible around here.
Any voyagers?

There is some great stuff on line you might want to look at. I know shipping can be a pain but you can ship furniture through greyhound freight at a fairly reasonable cost. I am an antique dealer myself and had mid century modern eames era high back leather chair a gentleman in texas was interested in. The chair weighed about 70 pounds and the cost was just over $100 to ship. I also have a friend that does the Mount Dora antique show and sometimes i come down with him, have you tried Mount Dora?

This place in St Pete has adds on Craigs List all the time. Their stuff looks pretty good.
I bought my Danish teak bedroom nightstands from them. They have very beautiful things, and do nice refinishing work. But the prices are nothing to drive 1000 miles for.

That'd be sweet.

I have a Heywood Wakefield dining room table with two leaves, a matching table protector, 8 chairs and a matching buffet. I will sell for a reasonable offer.

There are a number of shops featuring mid-Century Modern on Central Ave in St. Pete. Don't know their names.

Restoration Hardware is opening up a huge store next to International Plaza mall (they already have a sample store in the mall). May be you can try there.
